A little about Wilma
Supporting women through pregnancy and birth has always been my passion. I have had the privilege of supporting over 25 births in the High Level.
My journey to becoming a birth doula began in 2007. I was living in Lesotho, and my neighbour at the time was an Australian midwife and I fed off of her passion for birth. She offered for me to come along to one of her deliveries...
A little about Brittany
My name is Brittany Derksen and I have always loved learning new things so when I was pregnant with my son I really started educating myself about pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. I realized there is so much to know and I have a passion for it all!
For myself when labor started, I found it difficult to apply what I had learned because labor took all my focus. I’m sure this happens to others too. This said, I am so thankful we had a doula! Wilma made a huge positive influence on our birth experience! My goal is...
A little about Alicia
My name is Alicia Tabuavou. I am honoured to be serving women as a Birth Doula and a "Certified Breastfeeding Specialist". As a mom, I understand first-hand the value of having knowledgable caring support through out pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I am thrilled to be joining Wilma and Brittnay in supporting women and families in our local communities.
